A checkup at our Longmont dental office includes a periodontal screening, X-rays, and a thorough exam. X-rays are an important diagnostic tool, and we generally recommend routine X-rays every 12 months. Since gum disease and tooth decay rarely have outward symptoms in the early stages, this preventive measure allows Dr. Roby to pinpoint any small issues before they become more serious.

During your visit, we will examine your gums and teeth, as well as review your medical history to identify any risk factors for periodontal disease or other problems. Dr. Roby will also evaluate the function of your temporomandibular joints, or TMJs, as they're more commonly known. We even offer special preventive treatments for children, like dental sealants and fluoride.
